A birthday, chess & friends...

We have a growing group of game players who meet Saturday mornings at 10, so If you enjoy chess or other games of strategy, come on by. Last Saturday, a special moment happened. It was Jerry's birthday, and his new friend, 10-year-old Colton Hadley, thoughtfully offered him a gift of framed vintage chess-related patents. Jerry recently moved to Mentone and has been playing chess on Saturday mornings for several months. He's been graciously mentoring Colton. Good friendships are growing, and minds are being sharpened, every Saturday morning :) We have chess, backgammon, cribbage, dominoes, and Rummikub...or bring your own game or set. We’re open every Saturday from 9-12, and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-5.
