The Board of Directors of Moon Lake Community Library will host a community-wide Holiday Open House on Sunday, December 17, from 3–5 p.m. at the library. As a way to express gratitude to our local non-profit and volunteer organizations, the library has invited their representatives to attend, so you’ll have the opportunity to personally thank them for the work they do, learn about the services they provide, and ask any questions you may have.
Enjoy holiday refreshments provided by the library’s team of volunteers, as well as live music performed by students of Moon Lake School and area residents. Door prizes (for children and adults) will be given to those in attendance. The Christmas village, which Mentone resident Mickey Luck constructed for the library many years ago, will be on display. Children, especially, will be enchanted by the scene, which features the Yuletide train as it passes through the village. (Due to lack of storage space, the library is considering selling the train set. If you’re interested, please call Dianne Kuehl at 256-634-4538.) Bring your holiday cheer and community spirit, and enjoy time socializing with your neighbors at Moon Lake Community Library.
